July in New England

You will not find a more patriotic of colorful Independence Day than in New England. We here take our patriotism very seriously, and around the 4th we deck our houses like the Deceleration was signed yesterday! It's a special time with loads of celebrations and parades and people coming together to cheer for the Land of the Free and go wild over the Home of the Brave!

Hope your celebration for America's birthday was crazy patriotic this year!

Dinner and a Show

Yesterday we had a lovely evening in Boston to see Phantom of the Opera at the Boston Opera House. It is one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in, it made me think of the ornate rooms one would see in France! Gorgeous! 

Before the Opera we had a delicious dinner at the Omni Parker House Hotel, where the Parker House Roll originated. It is also the birthplace of the Boston Cream Pie, which I had for dessert, and it was as yummy as it was beautiful!

Sadly, the small clutch would only accommodate a smart phone, so that was what I was able to take all the photos with.
